We all have some important data that we want to hide it from our friends, colleagues and even parents ☻☻. So Here I'm telling you the most easiest way to make a file/folder password protected in your computer, So no one can even saw what the file contains.
First of all to protect a file/folder you will need an archiving software called WinRAR. Download it from Here
Install it and continue to the procedures :)
Procedure To Make a File/Folder Password Protected:--
1. Select any file/folder which you want to make password protected.
2. Right click on it and select "Add to archive".
3. Now you can see various option like achieve format, compression method and archiving options. Leave them as it is but select "Delete files after archiving" (as we don't need our unprotected file/folder).
4. Now click on "Set password" and type password and retype your password and select "Encrypt file names"(not to show files/folders under the protected folder).
5. Now click OK and OK. Your file will be started archiving depending upon its size.
Now if any one wants to open your protected file/folder it will first show them a dialog box to enter password.
